Hanoi: Establishment of the Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association

This is a social organization operating under the Charter approved by the People’s Committee of Hoan Kiem District, adhering to legal regulations, and under the state management of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee and relevant departments related to the association’s activities.

The Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association has legal status, its own seal, and a separate account according to the current regulations of the State. The association ensures its own funding, headquarters, and operational means.

The Decision was signed on October 10, 2023, and takes effect from the date of signing.

Hoan Kiem District is the first locality in Hanoi and a pioneer in the country in establishing a pedestrian zone.
According to the representative of the Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association's Establishment Committee, the Decision on permitting the establishment of the Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association is even more meaningful as it was signed on October 10, 2023, coinciding with the 69th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023).

The association will act as a bridge between businesses, organizations, and individuals in the tourism and related service sectors and the relevant authorities to address difficulties and create favorable conditions for sustainable and effective business operations for its members.

It will also contribute to promoting the tourism image, enhancing the quality of tourism services in Hoan Kiem District, and contributing to the economic and social development of the Capital and the nation.

Additionally, it aims to foster connections, cooperation, and mutual support in terms of economics, technology, business, and services. This will contribute to market stability, enhancing the value and quality of tourism products, and improving the competitiveness of its members both domestically and internationally, while representing and protecting the legal rights and interests of its members in accordance with the law.

Hoan Kiem District is home to a wealth of tangible values with 190 historical, cultural, and revolutionary-resistance sites, notably Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple; Hanoi Old Quarter; the Hanoi Opera House, Vietnam National Museum of History, Quan Su Pagoda, St. Joseph's Cathedral, and more.

Hoan Kiem District is also the first locality in Hanoi and a pioneer in the country in establishing pedestrian zones, creating recreational spaces for locals and tourists, and developing the city's nightlife tourism.
