The ancient village in Duong Lam is also a place to preserve and conserve a precious historical and cultural treasure, containing a treasure of Han Nom culture, typical steles that exist in ancient houses from horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, steles, large characters, and royal decrees.

 

Highly appreciating the purpose of the Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association's working trip, Mr. Khuat Van Thang hopes to cooperate with Hoan Kiem tourism businesses to build tours related to Duong Lam Ancient Village, cultural tourism of Vietnamese people.

With that foundation and the support of Hoan Kiem tourism companies, we will build attractive tourism service packages to attract tourists" - Mr. Khuat Van Thang emphasized.

 

During the survey program, the Association's member units were introduced to the relics: Mong Phu village gate, Mong Phu communal house, Ong The ancient house, Giang Van Minh's church... At the same time, they learned about cooperation and business opportunities here.

 

Mr. Bui Van Nghiem - Head of the Travel Department (Hoan Kiem District Tourism Association) added that there were more than 40 members participating in today's program, which are travel companies and Hoan Kiem tourism businesses. The members actively participated in activities to learn about the culture and cuisine in Duong Lam.

 

"The survey trip helped the members get closer to each other; at the same time, they learned about some unique cultural features of Duong Lam. After the trip, many companies said they would promote sending more tourists to Duong Lam" - Mr. Bui Van Nghiem shared.

In 2005, Duong Lam Ancient Village was ranked as a ''National architectural and artistic relic'', a priceless material and spiritual asset of the people of Duong Lam, Son Tay town as well as the people of the capital in particular, and the whole country in general.

 

At the workshop, Hoan Kiem tourism businesses also had many ideas to contribute to improve the quality of tourism and attract visitors to Duong Lam Ancient Village. The focus was on improving service quality; diversifying tourism products; strengthening cooperation and linking tourism product development, connecting the Ancient Village tourism products with neighboring tourist destinations in Hanoi, Phu Tho, Hoa Binh; especially preserving the relics and core cultural values ​​of Duong Lam.
